'Ahipoki' Now Dishing Up Poke On Russian HillPhoto: Ariel E./Yelp

San Francisco has welcomed yet another poke place: this time on Polk Street between Broadway and Vallejo.

Called Ahipoki, the new restaurant opened earlier this week in the former DavidsTea space (2123 Polk St.), giving away free poke bowls to its first 100 customers.

The new restaurant boasts 10 seafood selections, seven sauces and more than a dozen topping options. A small bowl (one scoop of seafood served over a base of rice or salad) starts at $8.95, a regular bowl costs $10.95 and a large bowl is $12.95, with each additional scoop costing an extra $2.

Yelpers are already giving solid reviews to Ahipoki's poke, especially the tuna luau, which one eater described as spicy tuna with avocado chunks and citrus.

If you missed out on the initial giveaway, tipster Albertino M. tells us the new poke bowl spot will host a grand opening next Friday, April 21st in which everything will be 50 percent off, so mark your calendars now.

In the meantime, Ahipoki is open seven days a week from 11am-10pm.
