An Oakland resident was shot and killed in San Francisco's Bayview District on Friday, according to police.

Eduardo Tay, 23, was shot in the area of Palou Avenue and Quint Street shortly before 6 p.m., according to police.

Police have not released further details on the circumstances of the shooting or announced any arrests in the case.

The shooting caused traffic and SFMTA vehicles to be rerouted around the area Friday.
