Attention, burger fans: A new diner has opened its doors in Russian Hill. Called The New Spot On Polk, it's located at 2401 Polk St. (between Union St. & Filbert St.), formerly home to Chinese restaurant Little Kitchen.

The New Spot opened its doors on May 27th, though an official grand opening is still on the way. It offers a full menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. In the morning, look for a selection of omelettes, benedicts, and house specialities like huevos rancheros, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, french toast and more. For lunch and dinner, the new diner offers salads, burgers, sandwiches, and dinner entrees like fish 'n' chips, charbroiled pork chops, wild salmon and more. (See the full menu here.)

With a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp, the new business has already attracted local fans.

Ellen S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 29th, said: "This fine diner just opened a few days ago at the corner of Union and Polk and they really know what they are doing, with a complete menu, including many old favorites tweaked a bit, like a Cobb salad with freshly grilled salmon."

Yelper Stephanie J. added: "Cute new addition to the neighborhood. Great food and awesome customer service. We were sad when we saw that Polkers had to close suddenly. The new spot is a few of the folks from there to bring us a yummy much needed new breakfast spot to Polk Street."

And Max M. said: "The place is great. Got the 'ultimate' burger which  was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing . Service was excellent ... it's owned and run by a very nice family."

The New Spot On Polk is now open from 8am-10pm at 2401 Polk St., so head on over to check it out.
