A motorcyclist has been involved in a fatal crash on U.S. Highway 101 (the Central Freeway) in San Francisco, reported the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred just after noon on the northbound 101 and the Ninth Street off-ramp. The right lane is currently blocked, and the off-ramp is closed.
Drivers should expect delays and try to avoid the area. According to 511, there is no estimate for when it will reopen.

Update, 5:37pm: Lanes were reopened after 2pm. According to Bay City News, a woman on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle had been unable to navigate a curve on the highway and struck a barrier. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
