It was all sun and fun for the summer edition of Nor Cal Corgi Con at Ocean Beach on Saturday. The event brought out corgis and corgi lovers for a day of races, agility contests and even a costume competition.

Corgi Con, which started in 2013, had just 90 dogs at its first event, said founder Cynthia Lee, but the twice-yearly gathering attracted over 700 corgis last fall, and possibly even more over the weekend.

Corgi Con raises money for two rescue organizations, Queen's Best Stumpy Dog Rescue and CorgiAid. Here are some scenes from the day's event:
