We're back with the latest on new and incoming eateries opening around the city. From a recent opening in the Tenderloin to a new Korean spot coming to the Westfield Centre, here's what tipster extraordinaire Albertino M. sent in during the last week.

Chinatown: Pot & Noodle
650 Jackson St. (between Grant Ave. and Kearny St. at Sacramento St.)

ABC Cafe and Restaurant—a Hong Kong-style cafe that offered breakfast, lunch and dinner options—closed its doors on May 31st. The business specialized in Chinese dishes like Hainan chicken, fried rice, congee, lo mein and more, all for an affordable price.

The eatery may have shuttered less than a month ago, but there's already a new business taking over the empty business called Pot & Noodle. Al told us that he took a tour of the interior and reported that customers can expect to see a "full interior overhaul."

There's not much information about the new eatery just yet, but it's slated to be a hot pot restaurant with a juice bar inside. Customers can also expect to find noodle-based dishes, appetizers, BBQ plates, and more when it finally opens.

Financial District: Sababa
554 Commercial St. (at Leidesdorff St.)

Over in the Financial District, Sababa—the fast-casual restaurant that's focused on Israeli street food—has finally opened for business. This is the second location for the eatery, with the first storefront at 329 Kearny St.

Dubbed the "Chipotle of Mediterranean food" by some diners, Sababa has become a popular spot for those who work in the Financial District. Lines have snaked out the door for a pita sandwich, served with hummus, Israeli salad, cabbage, Tahini and pickles for $10 a bowl. Other options include selecting a protein and then adding hummus and three salads to the bowls, bringing the total up to $12, or rice-based plate that comes with spiced rice, lentils and a salad for $11.

To wash down the food, they offer fountain drinks, a frozen limonana (a Middle Eastern mint lemonade), beer and wine for $2-$8. With its focus on office workers, Sababa is open Monday to Friday from 11am-3pm.

SoMa: Koja Kitchen
Westfield Centre

At the Westfield Centre, Koja Kitchen will be taking over one of the empty counters in the basement and serving up Korean and Japanese dishes to shoppers.

Diners can expect to order items like its eponymous specialty koja, which Koja Kitchen describes as "like a burger but better, with your choice of protein served between fried garlic rice bun" for $7.50-$10.95. They also serve rice bowls, tacos, salads, and side items like Kamikaze fries and chicken wings all for less than $13 each.

Koja Kitchen already has one location at 343 Clement Street and several others that are either already open or in the works in various neighborhoods throughout the Bay Area. According to Al, the new addition at the food emporium is expected to open August 2017.

Tenderloin: Ike's Place
901 Polk St.

Ike's Place, the casual sandwich eatery with locations all over California, recently had a grand opening at its newest SF location at 901 Polk St. on June 12th. According to several Yelp reviews, some people waited as long as three hours to order their food during its grand opening.

The eatery, which is open every day from 10am-10pm, has an expansive list of sandwiches that cost between $9-$13.

The outlier is the kryptonite sandwich—sold for a whopping $30—and comes with roast beef, bacon, ham, pastrami, salami, and turkey. And if that isn't enough, it's also stuffed with beer-battered mozzarella stick and onion rings and topped with avocado, extra pepper jack, pesto and stuffed jalapeno poppers.
