'Big Fish Little Fish' Brings Poke Bowls To FiDiPhoto: Albertino M./Hoodline Tipline

San Francisco's poke wave shows no signs of waning; Big Fish Little Fish softly opened yesterday at Rincon Center (121 Spear St.) in the Financial District.

As we reported in May, Orange County-based Big Fish Little Fish was planning two San Francisco locations—the Rincon Center spot, and another at Westfield Mall (835 Market St.).

Although the Rincon Center location just opened yesterday, fish-focused FiDi office workers greeted the new spot with long lines.

According to our veteran tipster Albertino M., the new spot is offering customized bowls that start at $11.95 for a small, with large bowls going for $13.95. Later, the restaurant will also offer pokerittos (poke burritos).

"Fish is very fresh and they don't skimp out on quality," he reported.

"Each piece of fish tasted like it was cut on the boat on the same day that it was caught... Spring [greens] and kale showing no browning or being wilted. I absolutely love my bowl and would recommend anyone to try it."

Yelper James K. also noted that the new spot offers unique toppings. "[You] can add crunch options (fried garlic, fried onions, wasabi peas, lotus root chips, furikake, toasted almonds) to top everything off."
