A new spot to score ramen and more has debuted in the neighborhood. The newcomer to Lake View, called Strings Ramen, is located at 919 W Belmont Ave. (between Wilton Ave. & Clark St.).
This is the second location for the popular ramen joint, after it suddenly closed down its Lincoln Park location in March 2015.
Diners will be happy to hear that many of the items found on the Chinatown menu have been transferred over to the new spot. You'll be able to select from four different types of ramen, along with an assortment of appetizers, dumplings, rice bowls and more to go with your noodles. (See the full menu here.)
Strings Ramen has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.
Michelle M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 9th, said: "This is exactly what Lakeview needed! Great ramen portions, great flavor and pleasant staff. I think it's reasonable price, I had a vegetarian broth and fresh vegetables 'hell ramen' level 2, AWESOME spicy!"
Yelper Javier G. added: “Great service and better food! I will be back 100%. One of the best ramen I've ever tried.”
