8 Injured After Pepper Spray Incident At 16th & Mission Burger KingPhotos: @R27D/Twitter

Eight people were injured after a pepper spray incident at a Burger King restaurant at 2978 16th St. (and Mission), police officials told Hoodline.

According to SFPD spokesperson Sgt. Michael Andraychak, 911 responded to a call at 10:05am. The caller stated that numerous people at the Burger King were coughing for an unknown reason.

After SFPD and SFFD responded to the scene, they determined that the likeliest cause was pepper spray. 

Eight people were affected, with one person taken to a hospital. The other people were treated at the scene.

While police are currently investigating the incident, no suspect information is available, and no arrests were made.
