Hungry? A new neighborhood Indonesian spot has you covered. Located at 1540 W Ritner St. in Girard Estates, the newcomer is called D'jakarta Cafe.

Owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Beddy Sonie and Alfitri Ho, the new BYOB eatery offers a wide selection of Indonesian specialties. Appetizers include spring rolls, chicken satay, fried wontons and more ($3-$5). Entrees range from from traditional grilled or fried chicken, to meatball or Jakarta beef soup, to egg noodles and more, all for less than $7 each.

Wash it all down with es cendol (a drink made from rice jelly, coconut milk and palm sugar) or teh kotak (jasmine tea drink),  or bring your own beverage to go with your meal.  (See the full menu here.)

The fresh arrival has a three-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp thus far.

Jo C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on August 3rd, said: "Been here twice, and everything is awesome. I fancy the interior as well as the food, thank you for answering my prayer by providing my favourite kinda meal in Philadelphia (grilled chicken, sambal, and tamarind soup)."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. D'jakarta Cafe is open Tuesday–Friday from 11am–8pm, Saturday from 11am–9pm, and Sunday from 10am–8pm. (It's closed on Monday.)
