'Trick Dog' Team To Open New Valencia St. Bar584 Valencia St. | Photo: Larissa Runkle/Hoodline

A vacant space at 584 Valencia Street is about to see new life; earlier this month, the team behind Trick Dog applied for a liquor license for the location.

A license that permits the sale of beer, wine and spirits is pending for Bon Voyage!, the DBA (doing business as) name associated with Mission-based Trick Dog bar at 3010 20th St., known for its hand-crafted cocktails.

Bon Vivants is a hospitality and design firm founded in 2009 by Josh Harris and Scott Baird.

Working as consultants for establishments ranging from Miami to Sacramento, the firm develops original concepts for bars and restaurants, produces events, and executes marketing strategies. Bartender Morgan Schick is the company's creative director.

While the space at 584 Valencia was previously occupied by businesses such as The Slanted Door, Wo Hing General Store, and most recently Urchin Bistrot, it’s been vacant for the past two years.

The team at Bon Vivants declined to comment on their plans for the space, but the newly remodeled kitchen and pending license suggests some combination of cocktails and food.
