A 39-year-old man was assaulted during an armed robbery while he was riding his bike at Market and 6th streets last night.

As the victim was biking at 8:20pm last night near 976 Market St., another man, aged 25-35, approached and pushed him to the ground. The suspect then pointed a handgun at the cyclist before taking possession of his bicycle.

Riding the stolen bike, the suspect fled the scene heading eastbound on Market St.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the incident. No arrests were made.
