A pedestrian was killed this morning in a collision at Dore and Brannan streets.

According to SFPD spokesperson Officer Robert Rueca, police responded to reports of a collision at 8:15am. 

"When units arrived on scene," he told us, "they discovered a pedestrian who was unresponsive and later declared deceased."

The driver is cooperating with investigators, and another car may have also been involved in the incident, he said. 

A tipster said that a tow truck may have been involved, but citing the preliminary investigation, Rueca was not yet able to share what kind of car was involved in the collision. 

Police are currently investigating the scene, and no other details are yet available, including details of the victim.

Update, 9/18: According to Bay City News, the medical examiner has identified the victim as 41-year-old Winifred Leshane.
