A new Szechuan spot, offering hot pot and more, has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Called Sinopot, the fresh addition is located at 3785 Wilshire Blvd. in Koreatown.

Sinopot serves traditional Chinese hot pot with a modern-style dining experience. Start by choosing a sauce and soup base in which to cook your meat and veggies, like bone broth, a tomato base, curry or hot and sour. Then select from an array of meat and vegetables to add to the pot.

On the meat side of the menu, look for items like the beef and lamb combo, spicy fish, and seafood paste combo. On the vegetable side of the menu, there are additions aplenty, like bean sprouts, lotus root, seaweed, napa cabbage, Chinese winter melon and more.

To round things out, there are side dishes on offer as well, like the crispy fried pork, fried tofu skin and pigs feet. (You can view the full menu here.)

With a five-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh addition has been warmly received by patrons.

Ally L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 19th, said: "The best service and food combination for authentic Hot Pot you would ever probably find in Los Angeles!"

Yelper 喬 added: “Extremely delicious !! Fresh! !! The rank of No.1 Chinese style hotspot in Los Angeles!”

And Malcolm G. said: "Highly recommended! Tried the spicy and curry hotpot, unique and delicious. I would recommend this to my friends, and because it's really the best one I can find in LA."
