A 24-year-old woman in the Upper Haight yesterday afternoon was hospitalized after two women smashed her car, then assaulted her with a bat and brass knuckles near the corner of Haight and Clayton streets.

According to police, the victim was sitting in her vehicle at the intersection at 4pm when one of the suspects, estimated to be 23 or 24 years old, “approached and broke the windshield with a bat.”

When the victim exited the vehicle, the bat-wielding suspect punched her, while a second assailant, 26 or 27 years old, struck her with the bat.

The suspects fled the scene, and no arrest was made.
