Head-On Collision Backs Up Traffic On Kezar, JFK DrivesPhoto: Camden Avery/Hoodline

A multiple-car collision stopped traffic on Kezar Drive this morning just south of the intersection with JFK Drive in Golden Gate Park, backing up commuters in three directions as traffic crews used hand signals to manage the congestion.

The incident, which occurred shortly before 8:20am, was a collision between two northbound cars and one southbound car that crossed into the oncoming lane.

SFPD Officer Giselle Linnane confirmed that several people were transported to a hospital, but was unable to confirm the extent of their injuries.

By shortly after 9:10am, tow trucks and emergency crews were still separating the wrecked cars and removing them from the roadway, with traffic expected to resume shortly.
