If this week’s heat has you wanting to prop yourself in front of the nearest air A/C unit instead of thinking about your next meal, you might consider ordering in and getting Thai food delivered.
The East Bay is home to dozens of quality Thai eateries, but not all offer delivery. So to help you out, we rounded up our five favorite delivery Thai spots in Oakland. (Got a favorite Thai delivery spot of your own? Let us know in the comments.)

Pintoh Thai Street Food
1442 Franklin St.
First on our list is Pintoh Thai Street Food. The Kang Dang Moo (pork, pumpkin, basil and bell peppers in red curry) is a must, as is the Panang (stew-cooked beef and bell peppers in a rich kaffir lime leaf curry). Both are gluten-free.
If you’d prefer something vegetarian or with chicken instead, consider the Kang Pak (fresh tofu, broccoli, carrots, onion and potatoes in yellow curry) or the Krapow Gai (minced chicken stir-fried with spicy basil sauce, bird’s-eye chilis, garlic, bell peppers and basil, and served with a fried egg).
Camber Uptown
1707 Telegraph Ave.
If you’re looking for Drunken Noodles (stir fried rice noodles with green beans, tomatoes, onions, carrots and bell peppers cooked in rice wine), look no further than Camber Uptown.
We also recommend the Garlic Noodle, the Camber Fried Rice, and the Bouncing Beef or Tofu, which is either cubed beef rib-eye or tofu stir fried with onions and jalapeños in camber sauce and served on a bed of arugula.
Saysetha Thai Cuisine
6230 Telegraph Ave.
Home to some of the best homemade Thai spring rolls in the Bay Area, Saysetha Thai Cuisine also serves up a killer Pad Kee Mao, which is wide rice noodles sauteed with sweet onions, garlic, egg, cabbage, chili, tomatoes, sweet basil and your choice of beef, tofu, chicken or pork.
The restaurant’s Crispy Noodles (deep-fried crispy egg noodles topped with sauteed chicken, calamari prawns, baby corn, bamboo shoots, onions, garlic and bean sauce) are also worth a taste.
Ninna Restaurant
4066 Piedmont Ave.
For starters, get an order of either the Chicken Satay (served with peanut sauce) or the Thai Corn Fritters (served with sweet chili sauce) before considering one of Ninna’s specialty house curries. The Vegetable Red Curry is served with vegetables, tofu, kabocha squash, chili and Thai basil, and the House Yellow Curry is a melange of slow-cooked chicken, potatoes, onions, carrots and cucumber salad. Both are served with your choice of brown or white rice.
If neither of those snagged your interest, how about the Panang Beef, which is slow-braised boneless short ribs coupled with purple yams, carrots and potatoes.
Siam Bay Authentic Thai Cuisine
1009 Clay St.
You can’t go wrong with an order of Pad Thai or Pad See Ew at Siam Bay, but if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, we recommend the Tom Kha. The hot coconut milk soup is served with galangal, chili paste, lemongrass and lime juice, and it can be ordered with chicken, mushrooms or vegetables.
The Pad-Kee-Mao (sauteed flat noodles with onion, chili and spicy basil) is another popular menu item.
