Before the hectic Thanksgiving week descends, this weekend offers a chance to relax.

Neighborhoods are getting into the spirit of the season tonight with the Castro Annual Social benefit, which supports local charities, and a free Thanksgiving meal courtesy of the Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center in North Beach.

There's also a drone film festival that kicks off this evening in the Mission.

Friday brings more holiday festivities, including the annual SPCA Holiday Windows unveilings at Macy's Union Square with adoptable pets from local shelters and a tree lighting ceremony at the Bayview Opera House. There's also the monthly night out at the SF Mint celebrating local Filipino culture and a unique blend of jazz and acrobats at Circus Center in Cole Valley.

Heading into the weekend, Amoeba is having a two-day celebration for its 20th anniversary, which includes a parade down Haight Street, there's a free night and all weather biking workshop in Glen Park, or you can tip back a few glasses at PinotFest 2017 in the FiDi.

Round it out on Sunday with a tree lighting ceremony at Pier 39, a historical Korean fashion showcase at the Asian Art Museum, then dine like a baller at a Chefsgiving gala supporting North Bay fire victims.
