A new vegan Thai spot has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 1435 N Highland Ave. in Hollywood, the new arrival is called Vegan House Thai Bistro.

This new vegan spot has an extensive menu featuring an array of popular Thai standbys, along with veggie burgers and more.

Expect to see vegan takes on popular items like panang curry, tofu satay, spicy tom yum soup, Thai larb salad, chow mein and pad thai, along with a soy chicken burger and soy chicken wings with French fries.

There's a daily lunch special as well, which includes entrees like soy orange chicken and pad see ew with a side salad, egg roll, and rice. (You can check out the full menu here.)

The fresh addition has proven popular thus far, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Soracha M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 23rd, said: "The food was so good. The taste was very good also, I love this vegan restaurant. And today is my birthday, so they surprised me with a birthday cake and ice cream. I'm so impressed. Highly recommended."

Yelper Shadia M. added: “I love this place. I feel like vegan can be really hit and miss, but this place is delicious. Very decently priced, considering it's vegan. Perfect portions and the customer service is lovely."

And Phil C. said: "A great change of pace in vegan cuisine. The food is made from proper vegan ingredients and delicious. A very small location, but it allows for very personable service."
