A female pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after she was struck by an unknown driver near Westwood Park this morning.

The incident occurred around 8:30am at the intersection of Ocean and Miramar avenues. 

The victim, whose age is unknown, was transported to a hospital, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

The driver was not arrested and is cooperating with the investigation, according to the SFPD.

Ocean Avenue was closed for several hours road as the SFPD investigated the scene. After a delay, Muni resumed service in the area at 12:38pm.

Update, 12/8: The victim has died from her injuries, SFPD reported.

The medical examiner's office has identified the victim as 63-year-old San Francisco resident Elvira Natividad.
