Police are seeking a suspect who left a man with life-threatening injuries after attacking him with a hatchet earlier this morning in the Tenderloin.

The incident occurred around 1:05am near the corner of Golden Gate Avenue and Jones Street. The victim, a 38-year-old man, was walking home when a male suspect shouted at him and struck him with the hatchet before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.
