A new social club has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Prime Social, the new addition is located at 7801 Westheimer Rd. in Mid West.
This new gaming spot bills itself as a "premier members-only entertainment destination" with an "upscale lounge," according to its website. Game options include tournament poker, live poker, backgammon, chess, cribbage, dominos and pool.
There's also a full-service bar and elevated fusion pub fare for members. On the food menu, expect to see options such as chicken katsu with a pickled, shaved micro slaw; a Cuban burger with roasted pork belly, grilled ham, Swiss cheese and pickles; and a Vietnamese-style beef broth noodle soup with thinly sliced raw sirloin and fresh veggies. Prime Social has three reviews on Yelp, which gives it a five-star rating thus far.
Mariana P., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on February 9th, said: "Great atmosphere, delicious food, and drinks! Very impressed with this new poker club."
And Abbie Rose P. wrote: "Great new legal poker room in Houston! Very upscale, clean, and inviting. Definitely a great place to come and play or have a drink. Much better than the other legal poker rooms around town!"
