Police arrested a woman yesterday in the Mission district for aggravated assault after she threw a television at a passerby, causing injury.

The incident occurred at 3:21pm near the corner of 19th and Mission streets when the victim, a 30-year-old woman, was walking with two three-year-old girls.

At that point, a 50-year-old female suspect picked up a television and threw it at the victim, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries before fleeing the area with the children. The suspect was arrested a short time later.

Anyone who has information about this incident is encouraged to contact SFPD via the department's anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444, or text TIP411 with "SFPD" at the start of the message.

Here’s why we usually don’t include suspect descriptions in crime reports.
