Darron Price, a Sunset District resident arrested in February after his home exploded due to a leaky butane tank, is facing a new murder charge and was re-arrested. Price was originally arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter, drug manufacturing, and other charges. His disabled wife was killed in the February 9 blast. Authorities believe Price was illegally manufacturing hash oil in the home's lower level, which ignited after a healthcare worker turned on a dryer.

Price was once again released pending arraignment on June 26. Neighbors David Garth and his wife Nang Phommavongsay are suing property owners Peter and Diane De Martini for damages caused as a result of the explosion, which also affected neighboring homes.
