San Mateo Man Charged in Chilling Strangulation Death of GirlfriendGoogle Maps

Eduar Pajoy-Delgado, 35, has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Maria Romero Molina, 28 in San Mateo County, according to KTVU reporter Henry Lee on Twitter.

Back in May, Pajoy-Delgado made his initial court appearance to face the murder charge, where he was accused of strangling Molina at their South San Francisco home on Brunswick Court. The couple, who both emigrated from Colombia last year, were living at the residence with several roommates.

On the tragic night of the incident, their roommates called their landlord at around 1:45 a.m. to report a disturbance due to Pajoy-Delgado and Molina's heated argument, per the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office. Following this, Pajoy-Delgado called 911 himself at approximately 3 a.m. to report Molina was in their bedroom and not breathing. Investigators arrived on the scene to find her unresponsive, with strangulation injuries to her neck, and Pajoy-Delgado sporting fresh scratch marks on his face.

After piecing together evidence from the scene and the situation, investigators came to the conclusion that Pajoy-Delgado had allegedly strangled Molina during their argument. His court appearance on May 18, 2023, saw the county's Private Defender Program appointed to represent him, and the case was continued to May 24 for further arraignment as mentioned in a KTVU article. Pajoy-Delgado remained in custody on no bail status.
