The Fremont Police Department (FPD) collaborated with the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office in a pursuit that led to a hive of police activity near Mowry Avenue and Farwell Drive in Fremont today. According to a KRON4 report, residents were urged to keep clear of the area as law enforcement searched for a possible suspect, with no further details provided about the individual or the nature of their offenses.

As a precautionary measure, the nearby Mattos and Azevada elementary schools were advised by law enforcement to shelter in place, ensuring the safety of the students at both locations. The Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) posted an update on their website, stating that there was no immediate threat to the children, and the decision was made purely as a protective measure for their wellbeing.

By 2:17 PM, as reported by the FUSD, the shelter-in-place orders at Mattos and Azevada elementary schools were lifted, allowing schools to resume their regular activities and release students at the usual dismissal time. 

Authorities continued their investigation in the Mowry and Farwell area throughout the afternoon. A tweet shared by the Fremont Police Department urged residents to avoid the location, noting that no estimate was available as to when the area would be clear.
