In just three weeks, the city of Concord will come to life with the highly anticipated Creative Concord event, showcasing a rich display of arts, culture, and entertainment. Launching in June 2022, the celebration made a splash and is now returning in October bigger and better.

According to a recent Facebook post of Visit Concord, the festivity kicks off with the ART & MUSIC JAM In The Park on October 14 and 15, featuring live music by The Beat of Diablo and mesmerizing art projects with WeHeartConcordArt and Concord Ambassadors. Children will also have the opportunity to participate in special painting activities.

The celebration doesn't end there — a powerful poetry presentation hosted by Cordon Concepts will feature talented youth from Pittsburg Prodigies, followed by an exclusive “Meet the Musician” event with Alexandra Simpson at the Concord Historical Society, hosted by the California Symphony.

As reported on the Creative Concord website, this year's programming includes new additions, such as live music from local indie bands curated by Dave Hughes from The Beat of Diablo, a spoken word poetry performance hosted by poet laureate Jose Cordon, and an intimate talk and performance presented by The California Symphony.

During the event, Downtown Concord will be transformed with temporary illuminated sculptures, a new mural installation, and other surprises. The illuminated sculptures will be on display from October through early January 2024.

The Creative Concord event is a collaboration between Local Edition Creative, City of Concord, and Visit Concord, showcasing the diverse styles, cultures, and themes that make up the city's vibrant community.
