On July 2, San José Police Department received a call about a gunshot victim on Queens Lane. Upon arrival, they found a deceased adult male. Today, the department announced a key developmen—the arrest of the alleged perpetrator, 27-year-old Carlos Fuentes, as per the official statement release.

On October 3, a significant step was made when the Covert Response Unit apprehended the suspect and executed a search warrant at his Santa Clara residence. The search of Fuentes's residence yielded a loaded firearm and narcotics for sale.
