The Posey Tube, linking Alameda and Oakland, will cease operations for necessary maintenance on the night of November 1. The City of Alameda reports that the closure will start at 10 p.m. and last until 4:30 a.m. the next day.

The Webster Tube will remain open while serving residents during the maintenance period. The timing of the closure has been carefully chosen to avoid disturbing the daily commute of locals.

Closure of the tube is dependent on favorable weather conditions. Detours for motorists have been planned, and California Highway Patrol officers are expected to assist in managing traffic, according to the City of Alameda.
