As per the records of the Alameda County District Attorney's Office, Ravano, who is close to 80 now, faced 16 felony charges, including aggravated sexual assault and child pornography possession. The victim was around 11 years old, a daughter of Ravano's girlfriend when she fell prey to his heinous acts. The range of offenses mostly occurred between October 2003 and March 2004. The victim's report came in 2020, attributing to repressed memories.

Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price was quoted saying, “Our prosecutors’ unwavering commitment and pursuit of truth played a pivotal role in getting justice for an innocent child subjected to unimaginable abuse. We are committed to protecting the vulnerable, and, as this case shows, we don’t care how long it takes."
