Yesterday, a Napa convenience store suffered a burglary with losses estimated at $1,500 in cash and various items. The suspect, Bruce Mckenzie, was apprehended due to prompt action by local law enforcement as detailed in a Napa Police Department (NPD) release.

With surveillance and video technology the NPD utilized surveillance footage, allowing identification of the suspected thief. Acting with urgency and diligence, NPD officers secured a search warrant for Mckenzie's residence. There they recovered clothing believed worn during the burglary and a sizable amount of cash, according to the NPD report.

Mckenzie was booked into the Napa County of Corrections on charges of burglary and a probation violation upon arrest.
