Oakland Man Accused of Distributing Harmful Matter to Minors Arrested in Riverside CountySource: Riverside County Sheriff's Office

David Sanabria, a 32-year-old Oakland resident previously of Perris, has been arrested under allegations of distributing explicit material to minors, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. The local Special Victims Unit launched a comprehensive investigation on Sanabria starting from June 6, 2023.

The investigation unearthed substantial evidence alleging that Sanabria distributed harmful material to minors including sexual explicit photos, as stated by the department. According to the Riverside Sheriff’s Department, it is feared Sanabria contacted several minors via social media seeking to engage in sexual acts. Throughout the investigation, additional minor victims were identified and approached by investigators.

The investigation also revealed Sanabria frequently traveled to Northern California. Detectives from the Palm Springs and Northern California worked alongside Homeland Security Investigations, unearthed more evidence against the accused.

On November 10, 2023, Sanabria was arrested in Temecula during a joint operation executed by the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station, Perris Sheriff’s Station and members of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Gang Task Force. At the time of arrest, Sanabria was found accompanied by a minor who was safely returned home after an interview with investigators. Sanabria is presently held at the Cois Byrd Detention Center, with bail set at $1,000,000 on multiple charges involving crimes against children.
