Petaluma Businesses Plundered: Power Tools, Equipment, and Clothing Stolen in Series of Overnight Break-insSource: Petaluma Police Department

On Friday, several burglaries in Petaluma, California left businesses grappling with stolen power tools, contractor equipment, and clothing. The culprits hit three locations. The local police department, currently investigating the matter, is seeking the public's help to identify the two suspects involved.

The first burglary, involving a white Ford Econoline van ramming a business's door on Holm Road, occurred at approximately 4:50 AM. The perpetrators swiftly took power tools and fled, according to a press release by the Petaluma Police Department.

Following that, an identical incident transpired on Lindberg Lane at 5:17 AM. A dispatched police unit, responding to a security alarm, found more substantive damage to a business's door. Surveillance footage showed, to quickly flee the scene, the same Ford Econoline van believed to be involved in the prior theft. The suspects again stole power tools and contractor equipment.

The final break-in occurred at around 5:36 AM on Lakeville Highway. Again, the suspects forcibly gained access to a business, as video evidence showed the same van and suspects. This time, they stole more tools and a significant amount of contractor clothing.

In all instances, the criminals targeted shut businesses and didn't appear to run into any security or employees. The local police promptly acted upon every alarm trigger, working with the affected businesses to estimate damages and losses. There have been no substantial leads in identifying these burglars or retrieving the stolen items, but inquiries continue.

The police department encourages anyone with information related to these incidents to contact Lieutenant Garrett Glaviano at [email protected] or on 707-778-4372. Meanwhile, they advise local business owners to take additional precautions in securing their properties.
