The city of Vallejo recorded its 21st homicide of the year last Saturday. According to a release from the Vallejo Police Department, officers responded to a shooting on the 1000 block of Alabama St. around 8:30 P.M. The victim, an adult male with at least one gunshot wound, died at the scene despite the officers' attempts to provide medical aid.

As of now, the motives behind and details surrounding the case are under investigation and are rapidly being established. The identity of the deceased is kept confidential until the relatives have been notified by the Solano County Coroner's Office. Detective Daniel Callison and Detective Stephanie McDonough from the Vallejo Police Department Detective Division are encouraging anyone with information about the case to contact them.
