The streets of Oakland witnessed a prompt arrest in the homicide case of Gerardo Abreau, as the Oakland Police Department, collaborating with the Morgan Hill Police Department, nabbed suspect Adelto Medizabal on November 30th, the very night of the event, according to a statement issued by the Oakland Police Department.

In the tragic unraveling that unfolded in the 2600 block of 74th Avenue just before the clock struck 6:45 PM, a stabbing left the victim desperately self-transporting to the hospital for help, but despite the hospital personnel's efforts Abreau's life slipped away when he succumbed to the fatal wounds. The Alameda County District Attorney's Office has filed charges against Medizabal after an intensive investigative push by local law enforcement.

As the case continues to unfold, the Oakland Police Department is actively seeking further information and is urging anyone with insights into the stabbing to come forward, in a bid to piece together the circumstances that led to such a stark cessation of life.
