Fire crews in Adelanto battled a late-night blaze at a commercial business on Sunday, preventing what could have spiraled into a much larger inferno. According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the fire at 11600 Bartlet Ave was reported at approximately 10:39 PM. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find the establishment engulfed in smoke and heat, but quick action contained the situation.

After breaching security gates, the team made entry and snuffed out a smoldering fire located at the business's rear. Despite the smoke and heat damage sustained, the neighboring businesses remained untouched by the incident, the structure fire requiring prompt and decisive containment. Although no injuries were reported amongst civilians or firefighters, the property damage was significant, according to details provided by the fire department.

The cooperative effort included three engines, one truck, one chief officer, and a total of 14 personnel on the ground. Notably, additional support arrived from the City of Victorville, bolstering the local emergency response. The collective efforts of these teams ensured that the fire did not escalate beyond its initial confines.

With the immediate danger averted and neighboring businesses counting their blessings for having been spared a similar fate, the source of the fire now becomes the focus of a county Marshal's investigation.
