Caught red-handed, a thief in the Bay Area has found himself in hot water following a string of vehicle robberies. South San Francisco Police Department cracked down on Brian Ray, a 45-year-old man from Bay Point, linking him to a commercial burglary and the heist of motorcycles from a storage facility on S. Spruce Avenue, as they announced yesterday.

The suspect, nabbed after a dedicated investigation by local law enforcement, stands accused of stealing more than just bikes. Following a lead, the cooperation of the East Bay Regional Parks Police Department was instrumental in identifying Ray as the alleged culprit. Notably, he was already on their radar, suspected of multiple auto burglaries in their area.

Acting on this collaboration, on March 27, detectives executed a search warrant at Ray’s abode. The raid turned up one of the filched motorcycles, sealing Ray's fate and earning him a swift ride to the slammer. The East Bay Regional Parks Police arrested Ray on burglary charges, according to a statement from the South San Francisco Police Department.

The consequences for Ray's alleged spree are mounting, with South San Francisco authorities preparing to pitch their case to the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office, urging solid prosecutorial action. Standing 5'11" and now booked in Alameda County, Ray faces various charges, including vehicle theft, burglary, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy.
