A grim discovery was made early Sunday morning in South Palm Beach when a man's body was found face down in the sand, local authorities reported. According to the WPTV News Channel 5, a passerby happened upon the deceased in the vicinity of the 3900 block of South Ocean Boulevard, next to the water's edge. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office disclosed there were no apparent signs of foul play at the scene of the incident.
The individual who made the discovery promptly called 911, prompting Palm Beach County Fire Rescue to respond to the scene. Officials declared the man dead at 7:19 a.m., as stated by the Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Teri Barbera in a Sunday night news release.
Adding to the account, WPBF reports that detectives from the Violent Crimes Division were dispatched to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man's death. Despite the ongoing investigation, authorities have so far steered away from suggesting any criminal activity related to the man's passing.
