The San Antonio Botanical Garden is set to become a hub of nocturnal activity with a slate of evening events including the Garden Nights and Summer Nights series, inviting visitors to enjoy the garden's lush 38 acres against a backdrop of live music and cooler temperatures. The Garden Nights series, a collaboration with KRTU FM 91.7, kicked off on April 3rd with the Toro Flores Quintet and promises local jazz and indie artists through September, as reported by the San Antonio Report.

Alongside the tunes, food trucks and a market featuring local vendors are to be in full swing, the series is accessible with the standard garden admission and is part of the botanical garden's efforts to enrich its community offerings, explaining KRTU's General Manager J.J. Lopez highlighted the importance of featuring local and regional talent in a statement obtained by the San Antonio Report. And if jazz isn't your thing, don't fret because, the Summer Nights initiative, which runs from June 7th through August's end, amps up the repertoire with a variety of musical acts spanning from brass bands to rock and singer-songwriters, according to TPR.

As the sun dips, visitors can unwind with live performances, refreshing drinks, and artisanal shopping, the weekly Summer Nights events encouraging picnics on the Greehey lawn while soaking in the cooler evening air. San Antonio Botanical Garden CEO Sabina Carr exuded excitement about the initiative in her interview with TPR, saying “The minute that sun starts to go down, it gets so much cooler outside. Mother Nature is dealing us much better weather this year than she did last year, right? And we would love people to come enjoy a drink, set up a picnic on the Greehey lawn, and just enjoy live music as the sun goes down and it chills out,”

But it's not all about the socializing and sipping, as the gardens are playing host to "Imaginary Worlds"—an elaborate series of sculptures fashioned from living plants, featuring a jaw-dropping 25-foot dragon adorned with 1100 plants that appears to breathe 'fire' over the conservatory, Carr revealed the spectacular exhibition to TPR, adding the garden grounds are at peak beauty thanks to May's generous showers, making now an exquisite moment to witness the horticultural splendor of San Antonio in full bloom.
