Culver City kiddos are in for a treat as the local Parks department has set plans in motion to revamp the timeworn playground at El Marino Park. In a bid to rouse public interest and scavenge for local insights, the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Department is convening a community huddle on April 23 – eyes set firmly on a modern, inclusive play space.

While the current contraption dedicated to the tiny humans aged 2-5 stands derelict, the city’s blueprint for the future teems with inclusive play apparatus and sensory-friendly delights, pending resident feedback. In true democratic spirit, the department extends an olive branch to locals to lend their voice at the meeting, to be nestled in the El Marino Park Building from 6:30 to 8 PM, where they'll discuss a slew of preliminary plans, according to the City of Culver City.

As per the City of Culver City, surveys will soon sally forth, inviting those unable to grace the meeting with their presence to volley their opinions digitally. Youthful voices will echo across the asphalt, betraying the anticipation of swings unperturbed by rust and slides not sun-faded – a communal aspiration taking shape just off Berryman Ave.
