Early dawn at Robert C. Stuart Park brought with it a grisly scene as a body was found by a local man during his morning routine. According to FOX 26 Houston, the man who was walking to stretch his legs, stumbled upon an unresponsive man around 4 a.m. earlier today.

Officers arriving shortly after the call, made by the walker, found a man shot dead, with at least one gunshot wound to the abdomen in the park located on the 7200 block of Bellfort Ave. Houston police have said no weapon or vehicle associated with the man was discovered at the blood-stained scene.

The victim's identity and the motive remain obscured as detectives piece together the scant evidence. As indicated by KTRK, confusion remains on whether this man met his violent end at the park or was moved postmortem. It's a detail of vital significance, yet eluding the firm grasp of certainty.
