Memphis Rapper GloRilla Arrested on DUI Charges in Gwinnett CountySource: Wikipedia/HOTSPOTATL, CC BY 3.0, via Wikimedia Commons

Memphis born rap sensation GloRilla found herself on the wrong side of the law early Tuesday morning, as the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office confirmed her arrest on a DUI charge. The "F.N.F. (Let's Go)" hitmaker, whose legal name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, was taken into custody in Gwinnett County, Georgia, following a traffic stop gone awry.

According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the arrest occurred when she performed a frowned-upon U-turn at a red light. An officer from the Suwanee Police Department described Woods' eyes as "watery and bloodshot" and noted a distinct odor of alcohol and marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Woods, in an allegedly impaired state, claimed to the officer she had consumed alcohol, yet insisted, "it did not matter, and she was good to drive."

Adding to a sequence of unfortunate events for Woods, during the sobriety test, a wardrobe malfunction left her partially exposed, a detail the police noted she was "unable to realize." Her brother was also present in the vehicle where authorities discovered marijuana and an open alcoholic beverage, according to the arrest report obtained by FOX 5 Atlanta. Woods managed to secure her release a few hours later on bond.

WSB Radio reports that the 24-year-old rapper was booked into a Gwinnett County Jail and faced charges of DUI, open container, and failure to obey a traffic control device, for which she was released on a $1,956 bond. This incident comes just as her career has been catapulting forward, with a recent collaboration titled "Wanna Be" with megastar Megan Thee Stallion.
