Angela Hedrick, spokeswoman for the Salem Police Department, stated that the northbound lanes of Commercial had to be closed at 7:30 a.m. in the aftermath of the accident but were later reopened around three hours after, and as per reports this crash marks the 10th traffic fatality in Salem this year, this was reported by Salem Reporter.
