The City of Lights is set to shine on the NBA once more, but this time, with a double dose of transatlantic basketball. The San Antonio Spurs will play the Indiana Pacers in a historic two-game series in Paris for The NBA Paris Games 2025, marking the first time two regular-season NBA games will be played in France in the same season. According to KENS 5, the games are scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 23, and Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025.

Fans on both sides of the Atlantic, can expect a show as the matchups also feature French phenom Victor Wembanyama, who was drafted by the Spurs. “Playing in Paris has been an incredible experience for our organization in the past and we are thrilled for the opportunity to be a part of The NBA Paris Games 2025,” San Antonio Spurs CEO RC Buford stated in a release obtained by KENS 5. To tap into the excitement, Wembanyama himself expressed anticipation, “I’m looking forward to it very much,” he said in response to the news.

Details such as ticket sales, the venue, game times, and events surrounding the games will be disclosed later. However, fans eager to secure their spot can get ahead by visiting NBA.com/Paris for presale information. Currently, existing season ticket members of the Spurs received notification that the Paris games will not alter the number of games in their packages, and the team is looking into arranging special packages for these overseas games.

Last year's draft lottery, which the Spurs won to select Wembanyama, sowed the seeds of this international escapade, as reported by Sports Business Journal. Both the Spurs and Pacers will have to sacrifice a home game each for this unique opportunity, yet this entails no impact on the Spurs' arrangement to continue playing selected games in Austin.
