The beloved Cowboy Festival gallops back into town in Santa Clarita this weekend, and it’s packing more than your standard rodeo. William S. Hart Park is now a full-blown Western extravaganza where city slickers can get a taste of cowboy life, complete with twangy tunes and boot-stomping dances. City Manager Ken Striplin announced the festival's return, which promises a hootenanny of activities from down-home music to line dancing lessons. The festival has a little something for every buckaroo out there, so polish those boots and ready your Stetsons.

Hitting all the right notes, the festival boasts three stages with a line-up sure to draw crowds. Among them, The Mane Stage, backed by Farmers Insurance – Damien White Agency, is preparing to belt out crowd favorites. With the likes of Dave Stamey and Kristyn Harris set to perform, alongside a gaggle of fresh faces, festival-goers are in for a melodic treat, as reported by Striplin. And for those with two left feet, the Bootscoot Bosses are ready to teach you a step or two in line dancing. These lessons run hourly from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., ensuring you'll be line dancing with the best of them in no time flat.

But it’s not all about the music. For the hops enthusiasts, the 28th Annual Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival's official brewery, Lucky Luke Brewing Company, will be pouring their best. From the custom Newhall Pilsner to an array of craft brews and flavored seltzers, the local brews are set to quench any thirst, with a rich assortment located at three spots around the park and at the evening's hoedown, Dancing into the Dusk. Fans of suds can sample to their heart's content while they savor the flavors of the West.

For those looking to boogie under the stars, Dancing into the Dusk offers a moonlit opportunity to two-step or line dance on Saturday night from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Live DJs, food trucks, and, yes, the aforementioned cold beverages will accompany the dance. According to Striplin’s announcement, tickets are available at CowboyFestival.org or at the door – if you hustle.

The festival is within reach of public transit, including the Metrolink and Santa Clarita Transit. Striplin advises attendees to use these options to avoid parking pandemonium. But if the wagon’s your ride of choice, there's a shuttle from the festival parking lot at 13th Street and Railroad Avenue to take you straight to the action.

So, grab your partner and mosey on down to Hart Park. It’s going to be a weekend full of old-fashioned fun that would make even John Wayne tip his hat. For more details on the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival, giddy up over to Striplin’s post or visit the festival’s official website.
