Two Arrested, One at Large Following Graphic Murder Caught on Video in Ledbetter, TexasSource: Lee County Sheriff's Office

Authorities in Lee County have arrested two individuals and are on the hunt for a third in connection with a grisly homicide that took place back in March. A video recording of the incident, which officials claim shows the murder in disturbing detail, has become a pivotal piece of evidence in an investigation that continues to unravel a premeditated crime turned to murder, reports KXAN.

On the morning of March 5, the Lee County Sheriff's Office was called to a report of a dead person in Ledbetter, Texas. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the body of 36-year-old Carlos Ramone Greene, who had suffered fatal gunshot wounds. In a scenario captured on video, two men were seen approaching an RV where Greene was staying, conversing with him before shooting him in cold blood. Court documents suggest that what began as a calculated robbery escalated rapidly into a killing, as detailed in a haunting recording of the suspects discussing the murder after having left the scene.

Eighteen-year-old Jayden Dangelo Medearis and 19-year-old Tavion Malique Williams are accused of the shooting, which was graphically caught on tape. Medearis was apprehended in Midland by the SWAT team and is facing a capital murder charge, while Williams remains at large, believed to be in the Midland area. The Lee County Sheriff's Office is urging anyone with information on Williams's whereabouts to contact law enforcement promptly.

Atlantic Eredia-Johnson, 27, is the suspected getaway driver and is accused of supplying the firearms used in the murder—one of which was later located at a pawnshop. According to the KXAN news release, Eredia-Johnson paid someone to dispose of the gun and was arrested in Gonzales. Eredia-Johnson now faces murder and aggravated robbery charges and is detained at the Gonzales County Jail. As the Lee County Sheriff's Office continues its investigation, this haunting case serves as a stark reminder of how quickly crime can escalate into a tragedy that forever alters the fabric of a community.
