The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) recently extended its gratitude to the White Settlement Police Department (WSPD), Texas for hosting an invaluable one-week "Women's Leadership Institute" training program. Participants, united by a common badge of service and leadership, gathered at the City of White Settlement Pecan Grove Convention Center. They were tutored on techniques to adeptly inspire their teams, lead effectively, and achieve goals while navigating the occupational hurdles unique to women. Hosting the prestigious event, the WSPD showcased its commitment to enhancing the role of women in law enforcement.

The department proudly sent nine of their own to join colleagues from throughout Texas. In the hometown of the WSPD, this crucial training program bore significance not only for those in attendance but also for the broader ambition of fostering greater gender parity within the law enforcement profession.
