An urgent search has been initiated for Stanley Briscoe, an 85-year-old man missing from Lauderdale Lakes since March, as local authorities are requesting the public's aid in locating him. Briscoe, described by the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) as approximately 5 feet 6 inches in height and weighing around 150 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes, vanished near the 5000 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard roughly a month ago.

Last seen at about 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, wearing a blue polo shirt, black pants, and black shoes, the BSO and concerned community members have been on high alert for any sign of Briscoe whose disappearance highlights not only the vulnerability of our seniors but also the crucial need for timely response in such cases. According to WSVN, Detective Leonard Charla has been assigned to the case and can be contacted with any pertinent information, also those with information can connect with BSO at the non-emergency number provided.

The BSO disseminated Briscoe's description across social media platforms including X, where they relayed the same details about his last known location and attire in efforts to widen the net of awareness in hopes that someone might come forward with crucial information, as documented in a post from the Broward Sheriff official X account.

Authorities urge anyone who might have seen Briscoe or knows of his current whereabouts to step forward; time is of the essence in missing person cases like these, especially taking into account the additional risks faced by elderly individuals. The BSO respectively requests those with information to contact Detective Charla at 954-321-4274 or reach out to the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357).
