Bibb County Man Charged with Methamphetamine Trafficking After Macon Drug Bust by GBISource: Georgia Bureau of Investigation

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested Tavish Faulks, a 32-year-old Bibb County man, on charges of Trafficking Methamphetamine, following a collaborative drug bust in Macon. The sting, which transpired on April 29, is a fruit of a six-month probe involving multiple agencies, as per a GBI statement.

Law enforcement officials, during a routine traffic stop, nabbed Faulks and confiscated approximately 9 ounces of suspected Methamphetamine and 100 suspected Fentanyl pills, amidst a backdrop of a wider strategy to curb the drug epidemic plaguing the area. An estimated one-half ounce of suspected Marijuana and two handguns were also seized. The search continued beyond the confines of the vehicle, extending to an apartment linked to Faulks, where authorities uncovered two additional firearms, the GBI reports noted.

The dragnet, set in motion by the Middle Georgia Gang Task Force, comprised participants from Peach County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC), the Department of Community Supervision (DCS), and the Georgia State Patrol. Faulks now faces the swift hand of justice, his liberty curtailed behind the bars of Macon-Bibb County Jail as he awaits further proceedings and potential additional charges.

Authorities underscored the operation's goal: to dismantle the machinations of street-level drug distribution and gang activity. In an appeal for civic partnership, law enforcement encourages the community to report drug or gang-related information. No lead is too small, and tipsters can remain anonymous, using various channels, including the Macon Regional Crimestoppers and the "See Something, Send Something" mobile app, for relaying information. These avenues are vital in forging a safer environment for the denizens of Macon, Bibb County, the GBI statement assured.
