Gunshots in Roxbury have resulted in an arrest, with the Boston Police Department confirming the apprehension of a suspect linked to a recent shooting incident. Ahmad Lewis, a 28-year-old Boston resident, was detained by the Youth Violence Strike Force near 100 Washington Street in Quincy. The arrest occurred after authorities issued warrants for a series of charges against Lewis, including unlawful firearm and ammunition possession, firearm discharge within 500 feet of a dwelling, and assault and battery with a firearm.

According to details released by the Boston Police Department, the case unfolded on April 13, 2024, when Roxbury District officers received calls about a person being shot and shot spotter technology further echoed the severity of the situation, shortly before officers discovered the victim bearing the brunt of a gunshot's cruelty, he was rushed to the hospital with injuries grave enough to usher him to the cusp of life and death. 

Lewis, now facing the judicial system. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court, which carries the weight of the law's attempt to restore order and peace.
